Overview

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a Team Manager to lead our internal Connect to Work Delivery team. This is a key leadership role, managing a team of Employability Specialists who support young adults aged 16–24 facing complex barriers to employment. You will oversee the effective delivery of personalised, 1:1 support, ensuring caseloads are managed efficiently and that high-quality outcomes are achieved.

We are looking for someone with experience in team management or service delivery leadership, ideally within employability, skills, youth, or community services. You should be confident in managing performance, motivating staff, and building partnerships, with a clear commitment to inclusive employment opportunities for young people.

Responsibilities
  • Providing day-to-day leadership, supervision, and support to Employability Specialists
  • Overseeing caseload allocation and monitoring performance against targets
  • Driving quality and consistency across the programme to ensure best practice delivery
  • Building strong relationships with employers, partners, and stakeholders to create inclusive opportunities for young people
  • Using data and performance information to track progress and continuously improve the service
