Training Manager - Construction

Location: Glasgow - travelling across sites in Scotland - Company Car Included

Hours: Full-time, permanent

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor with a growing presence in Scotland's renewables sector, is looking to appoint an experienced Training Manager to join their head office team in Glasgow.

Reporting to the Group Training Manager, this is a key role responsible for coordinating and delivering all training and competency requirements across multiple projects. You'll ensure the workforce meets regulatory and client standards, while driving continuous development and supporting a culture of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver project-specific training plans and maintain the company's training matrix.
  • Ensure compliance with CITB, SCS, and other industry accreditations.
  • Coordinate apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and ongoing development programmes.
  • Liaise with training providers and support managers in identifying team training needs.
  • Conduct regular site visits across Scotland to ensure standards are met and provide on-site support.
About You
  • Good knowledge of industry compliance and certification frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a training, L&D, or HSEQ-related role within construction or civil engineering.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the confidence to engage site and senior teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to sites across Scotland.
