A joint venture for property services in Nottingham is seeking a Compliance Manager (Asbestos) to lead the Asbestos Consultants Framework. You will manage a team, develop management strategies, and ensure compliance with legislation. Applicants should possess a degree or equivalent, relevant professional body membership, and necessary BOHS qualifications. This role offers a salary of £40,000 – £50,000, hybrid working, and generous benefits including a pension and medical insurance.
Compliance Manager (Asbestos) role at Arc Partnership, a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) and SCAPE. We provide lifecycle property services, including a high volume of multi-disciplinary refurbishment and live-site projects, with a focus on education and development projects for NCC. This client-facing role manages the Asbestos Consultants Framework on behalf of Arc Partnership and supports risk-based compliance across the organisation, including fire and legionella.
Reporting to the Head of Risk Management, you will lead a small team of site surveyors, develop and manage asbestos management strategies, policies and management plans, and engage with clients and third parties to provide advice and monitor progress against remediation plans.
The Compliance Manager (Asbestos) role is client-facing and accountable for managing the Asbestos Consultants Framework, driving business growth and future development of services. You will develop and manage the programme of work for your team, ensuring all advice, formal reporting and services relating to asbestos meet legal compliance standards. You will stay up to date with any changes in legislation, British standards and codes of practice. You will work closely with internal multi-disciplinary teams and project managers, and undertake site activity including asbestos surveys if required.
As our Compliance Manager (Asbestos) we are looking for someone who wants to make a difference, with experience advising and supporting clients and stakeholders about asbestos management. A broad understanding of other areas of construction risk (e.g., fire, water/legionella) is desirable but not essential. Experience of managing and procuring contractors and consultants within the public sector is preferred.
