Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join our Governance, Risk & Compliance team. Reporting to the Senior GRC Counsel, this role will play a key part in strengthening our compliance culture and ensuring the business operates with integrity, transparency, and full adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a central compliance toolkit (frameworks, templates, policies, guidance).
  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes and systems.
  • Monitor and interpret regulations (e.g., Ofcom, GDPR, competition law) and ensure company-wide compliance.
  • Investigate breaches, recommend corrective actions, and support compliance across health & safety, environmental, business continuity, and information security.
  • Lead annual Beacon Audits with external auditors and shareholder teams.
  • Act as liaison with regulatory authorities and collaborate with legal, IT, HR, operations, and HSQE teams.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop corrective action plans.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits, monitor processes, and deliver training on compliance procedures.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in compliance management within fast‑paced environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, KYC, risk frameworks, and competition law.
  • Certified (or working towards) in project methodology, ideally Prince2.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • A collaborative team player with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach.

Compliance Manager / Deputy Head General Insurance – candidate need insurance experience to be considered. Hybrid Working Available (offices in Manchester or Surrey).
