Responsibilities
  • Partner with business functions to provide clear, practical compliance advice and guidance
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, influencing decisions and promoting a culture of compliance and conduct
  • Provide oversight and challenge on new propositions, operations, and regulatory risks
  • Support the development of systems and controls that meet both Bupa’s and regulators’ expectations
  • Monitor regulatory developments and help the business respond effectively
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our risk management framework, including key risk indicators
  • Help embed a strong compliance culture across UK regulated entities
  • Collaborate with other Compliance teams to ensure consistency and high standards across the Market Unit
  • Support investigations into regulatory incidents and breaches
  • Promote awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements across the business
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who’s confident, collaborative and passionate about doing the right thing. You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience in a regulatory advisory role, ideally within financial services
  • Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook and UK regulatory landscape
  • Ability to identify conduct risks and offer pragmatic solutions
  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Experience working as a business partner, influencing and challenging stakeholders
  • Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Practical experience in developing and implementing risk and compliance policies
  • A good understanding of the wider political, legislative and consumer environment
  • Degree-level education preferred but not essential
  • Confidence to work independently and manage multiple priorities
