Job summary

We're hiring for a complex needs support worker in Coventry (Homelessness & Complex Needs)

£29,000 per annum

⏰ Full-time, permanent

40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends 1 in 4), between 8am-8pm

Ideally 29th December

Rotas issued 4 weeks in advance

We're currently recruiting for a Specialist Support Worker to join a new Active Opportunity Pathway (AOP) service in Coventry, supporting people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage.

About the role

This is an accommodation-based role where you'll work in a strength-based, trauma-informed way, supporting residents with complex needs including mental health, substance misuse and offending histories.

You’ll be involved in
  • Managing a caseload and delivering outcome focused support plans
  • Tenancy and rent management
  • Supporting access to specialist services (mental health, drug & alcohol, employment)
  • Delivering 1 : 1 and group-based support
  • Working closely with internal teams and external partner agencies
  • Complete regular accommodation inspections

This is a new and developing service, offering the opportunity to make a real impact and help shape best practice from the ground up.

About you
  • Strong experience supporting people experiencing homelessness or multiple disadvantage
  • Experience in accommodation-based services and tenancy management
  • A trauma-informed, non-judgemental and strengths-based approach
  • Confidence managing safeguarding, risk and complex needs

Enhanced DBS, satisfactory references and a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle are required due to extensive travel across the UK will be required from time to time to support the delivery of role requirements
