A leading UK debt litigation provider is looking for a Paralegal to handle defended litigation and complex consumer credit matters. The role emphasizes compliance with legal deadlines and drafting a variety of legal documents. Join us as a Paralegal you’ll play a key role in handling defended litigation and complex matters within a consumer small claims environment all under supervision. You’ll bring your knowledge of legal issues around consumer credit and collections to every case ensuring deadlines for court hearings and filings are met with precision. You’ll make thoughtful recommendations on commercial and legal decisions draft a variety of legal documents and correspondence and contribute to our culture of doing the right thing. Compliance with SRA regulations and industry best practice will be second nature to you and you’ll always keep the client at the heart of everything you do through your mindset and behaviours.
Solid technical knowledge of consumer credit and collections with an understanding of SRA codes of conduct and FCA rules.
Proactive case management skills able to work independently prioritize effectively and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
Strong problem-solving ability using creativity to resolve disputes and deliver practical solutions.
Exceptional attention to detail combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear accurate legal documentation.
Confident communicator who can build relationships and collaborate across all levels and functions.
IT proficiency and relevant experience including Microsoft Office skills GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English and ideally exposure to consumer litigation or legal collections environments.
Studying towards or having achieved a Law degree ILEX LPC or BPTC is desirablebut if you’re excited about this role and don’t meet every requirement don’t worry. We’d still love to hear from you because your unique perspective could be just what we’re looking for.
