Overview
This role plays a key part in ensuring that Group and subsidiary entities remain compliant with the Companies Act 2006 and all related regulatory requirements. You will support the maintenance of statutory records, governance processes and corporate transactions across the Group, working with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day company secretarial support to the Group Company Secretary.
- Maintain accurate statutory and corporate records, including registers, filings and entity data.
- Support governance processes across Group entities, including board and committee administration.
- Assist with corporate transactions and ad‑hoc governance activity, including documentation and approvals.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisers to coordinate papers, actions and deadlines.
- Support year‑end processes, including subsidiary compliance and annual report governance content.
Qualifications
- Experience in a company secretarial, governance or corporate legal environment.
- Working knowledge of the UK Companies Act and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders in a professional and discreet manner.
- Experience using Microsoft Office; exposure to Diligent or similar platforms.
- Minute‑taking experience and an understanding of board and committee processes.
- A high level of integrity, and sound judgement.
- Part‑qualified via the CGI or a keen willingness to study towards the qualification (full study support provided).
