A leading health organization in Cardiff is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to support the delivery of the Healthy Child Wales Programme. This role requires a registered nurse who can collaborate with schools and health teams to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, be team-oriented, and ideally have the ability to speak Welsh. The annual salary ranges from £31,516 to £38,364, with opportunities for professional development.

The post holder will be a registered Nurse and work with the wider health and multi agency skill mix team to deliver services to Children and Young People. They will assist in delivering the Healthy Child Wales Programme (HCWP) as delegated and supervised by the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN). They will work collaboratively and in partnership with other disciplines and agencies to improve and also safeguard the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
To accept delegated responsibility to ensure/ maximise opportunities for children and young people to access / benefit from the Healthy Child Wales Programme in conjunction with the School Nursing Framework.
Working in partnership with service users, parents, school staff and members of the primary health care team to undertake health surveillance, including CMP, health promotion and other public health duties in line with All Wales School Nursing Framework.
To maintain contemporaneous records including electronic to ensure/ promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
Work with the school nursing team and schools to facilitate the safe and effective delivery of the National Immunisation Programme.
