A local government council is seeking a Site Assistant to ensure excellent customer service at community centers and pavilions. This role involves managing facility hires, maintaining safety standards, and requires flexibility in working hours with a valid UK driving licence. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and customer-focused, helping local community groups succeed in their events.

The Site Assistant team provides a service that allows hirers to use our facilities across North Northamptonshire. Opening and closing sites, as well as cleaning to a high standard and maintaining good health and safety standards.
You will be the face of North Northamptonshire Council for those people using our facilities and you will be providing excellent customer service at all times.
Reporting to the Community Facilities Team Leader, this role is to assist in the operational procedures for managing hires and activities within the pavilions, community centres and parks including Ise Valley Pavilion, North Park Pavilion, Northampton Road Pavilion, Rockingham Road Pleasure Park, Counties Community Centre, Rothwell Community Centre, Melton Street Community Centre, Hazelwood Neighbourhood Centre and any other support required across North Northamptonshire. You will also ensure health and safety procedures within facilities are followed and provide a clean and safe space for members of the general public. The key aim is to provide an excellent customer service to regular users and hirers of our facilities.
We are looking to recruit an individual who can be flexible with their working hours, as our community centres are open Monday to Sunday between 9am – 10pm. You must be able to drive between sites with a full valid UK driving licence using your own vehicle. With excellent customer service skills, you will be enthusiastic in your role and willing to help our customers where needed. This is a role which will require you to work with community groups and organisations, as well as teams across the directorate who hire our facilities.
