Overview

Join us as a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse at the Community Mental Health Recovery Services (CMHRS) in Frimley, UK. This is an exciting opportunity to earn £28 per hour on an hourly salary basis. The position requires an immediate start and extends over three months, with a possibility to extend further. Working hours are 09:00 to 17:00, available three or five days per week full-time. We are seeking an innovative and proactive individual ready to make an impact within community mental health settings.

What you will do
  • Conduct initial assessments and manage the allocation of cases from waiting lists.
  • Provide expert mental health assessments, formulating the mental health and social needs of service users.
  • Offer sound recommendations for ongoing care and liaise with external services as needed.
  • Develop and implement care plans, perform risk assessments, and manage risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with key agencies and communicate with service users\' support networks, including carers.
  • Deliver brief interventions such as emotional coping techniques, trauma stabilisation, and psychoeducation.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
  • Valid NMC Registration.
  • Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse in an NHS community mental health setting.
  • Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and care planning.
  • Desirably experienced with SystmOne software.
