Job overview

Main duties
  • Antenatal and postnatal care for women with a wide caseload.
  • Provision of a 24‑hour homebirth service including assessment, care planning, and surgical support.
  • Planning and assessment of care in low risk settings including homebirth and waterbirth.
  • Advocacy and safeguarding in vulnerable adult and child protection procedures.
  • Collaboration with specialist midwives, consultant midwives and the wider multi‑professional team.
