Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Therapist.

Job description

The role involves working in a specialist adult community mental health pathway, providing evidence‑based interventions for an identified caseload of service users.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments in accordance with the clinical pathway, to establish the person's needs, goals, risks, and strengths, to inform and generate a formulation‑based care plan, agreed with all involved.
  • Deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions on a 1:1 and group basis, in accordance with an agreed care plan.
  • Assist with consultations, support and supervision to other health professionals working within the Community Mental Health Service and other areas of the Trust, where identified as appropriate.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably required to fulfil the role.
Qualifications
  • A relevant nursing qualification or other registration – RMN / Occupational Therapist / Social Worker / Therapist.
  • Post‑qualification experience, such as evidence of formal courses or training relevant to working with people with complex mental health needs, related to emotional instability.
  • Ability to deliver group and individual interventions.
  • Ability to work with service users expressing high levels of distress.
  • A positive attitude and a caring and compassionate approach.
  • Good communication skills.
