Job summary

Westbourne Academy are searching for the best education professionals to join our trust. Are you passionate about making a difference to our children’s learning? Do you understand the importance of education?

Westbourne Academy are looking to appoint a flexible, resilient and adaptable individual to fill the post of Community Inclusion Worker. The successful candidate must have experience of working with young people and/or families, ideally in a school or community setting.

The purpose of this role is to support inclusion, engagement and achievement of students, including those from the Roma community, and their families, by building relationships, removing barriers to learning, fostering trust and communication, and working across school and community settings to enable students to thrive.

The ideal candidate will have a good basic level of education to GCSE level (to include English and Maths grade 4/C or equivalent) and have an understanding of barriers to learning faced by disadvantaged groups. Language skills, or the willingness to learn languages relevant to the Roma community are desirable and the ability to build positive relationships with diverse backgrounds are essential. You will be an ambitious professional and will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students.
