Looking for FEMALE carers to support our clients with all aspects of their day to day living, so that they can enjoy the best possible quality of life.
- Providing care and support is both a challenging and rewarding experience.
- You will mostly work alone with our clients in their own homes.
- To safely provide compassionate care and support that is centred on the individual needs and wishes of each client.
- Respect client choices and promote their dignity at all times.
- We believe that all care given should be non-discriminatory and should support and value the diverse needs and unique qualities of each individual person.
- It is vital to carefully listen and observe how our clients prefer their care and support to be delivered on a daily basis, enabling them to make their own decisions and to be as independent as possible.
- This will involve driving to and from people's homes.
- A fuel card will be provided to cover from first visit to last visit and travel time is paid as well.
Hours:
- Work with clients between 7am - 10pm
- Early shifts 7:30am - 2pm or lates 4pm - 9:30/10pm.
- Alternate Weekends essential
- Can be flexible on start and finish times to fit both client needs and care assistant availability
The following duties may be involved:
- All aspects of personal care
- Showering and bathing
- Dressing
- Toileting and continence care
- Encouraging, prompting and administering medication
- Ordering and collecting prescriptions
- Helping the client to plan what to eat and drink
- Shopping, preparing and serving food and drinks
- Support with walking and standing frames
- Sliding sheets and moving boards
- Making beds and changing linen
- General tidying
- Taking a client out shopping or for appointments
- End of life care
- Liaising with families
- Record and report all relevant client information
- Respond to accidents, emergencies and incidents
- Safeguarding matters
- Contact with families or carers and other professionals
- Other matters as required by Cheshire Rural Care
- Follow Cheshire Rural Care policies, procedures and guidance at all times
- Take part in staff and client meetings as appropriate
- Attend and complete training and appraisal meetings as required
- Ability to keep clear written records about the care and support given to each client
