About Projects

At Projects, we're building a home for better business. Our workspaces are designed to help people thrive personally, professionally and sustainably. We're a certified B Corp, which means we take our responsibility to people and planet seriously, not as an afterthought but as a foundation for everything we do.

About Nile House

Nile House has been at the heart of Brighton's working community for three years. Today, it's home to over 750 members across four floors of thoughtfully designed workspace—coworking areas, private offices, meeting rooms, a podcast suite, event space, rooftop terrace and bar, plus a café run by our partners at Lost in the Lanes. Our community is warm, curious and collaborative. Some members are here every day; others drop in when they need a change of scene. What they share is an appreciation for a workspace that actually works.

The Role

As Community Associate, you'll be central to making Nile House run beautifully. Working alongside our Community Manager and fellow Community Associate, you'll look after both the building and the people in it, ensuring every member and visitor experiences genuinely excellent service. This role is varied by design. You'll move between sales conversations and maintenance queries, event support and day-to-day operations. While Nile House is your primary base, you'll also provide support at our Ship Street location from time to time—collaborating with that team and our central operations. It suits someone who enjoys switching gears and takes pride in getting the details right.

What You'll Do
  • Operations & standards: Keep the space running smoothly. Anticipate issues before they become problems. Ensure Nile House remains welcoming, well-maintained and fully compliant with health and safety requirements.
  • Sales & onboarding: Support the membership journey from first enquiry to first day—helping maintain a consistent membership base and high member satisfaction scores.
  • Community & events: Build genuine relationships with members. Support the delivery of events and community initiatives, including our popular Thursday evening Rooftop Bar sessions.
  • Maintenance & facilities: Act as the on-site point of contact for contractors and cleaners. Raise and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, keeping members informed when disruption occurs.
  • Finance: Manage receipts, budgets and spend for Rooftop Bar operations.
  • Multi-Site Support: Provide occasional cover and support at Projects Ship Street, working flexibly across both locations as needed.
  • Team Development: Participate in cross-departmental training and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

This role will evolve as Projects grows. We're looking for someone who sees that as an opportunity.

About You
  • You bring at least two years' experience in hospitality or facilities management. Beyond that, you're organised, proactive and genuinely enjoy working with people. You solve problems before being asked to. You communicate clearly and take pride in delivering excellent service.
  • You work well independently but thrive as part of a team. You're comfortable representing a brand you believe in.
What We Offer
  • Time Off: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional day earned for each year of service (up to 5 extra days).
  • Financial Profit share scheme—when Projects does well, you share in that success.
  • Health: Comprehensive health and dental insurance through WPA.
  • Development: Personal development budget for courses, events, books, mentors or software. Quarterly "Afternoon Tea Academy" workshops with external trainers on topics chosen by the team. Bespoke training in areas like leadership, sales and B Corp principles.
  • Culture: Quarterly team socials voted on by the team—past events include live comedy, immersive theatre, go-karting and cooking classes. Monthly budget for a coffee or drink with your manager outside the office. Recognition programme through Slack, where virtual "tacos" can be exchanged for rewards including restaurant vouchers and extra time off.
  • Everyday perks: Unlimited barista-made tea and coffee. Access to the Ship Street gym and bookable paddle board for the beach.

Projects is committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
