Type: Permanent; Hours: Full time; Location: Kentish Town, 4 days per week, with one day WFH; Sector: PR & Marketing; Salary: £27,045 per annum; Closing/Date: 16th October 2025.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write clear, accurate and engaging content about the Anne Frank Trust for a wide range of documents and online platforms.
- Assist in drafting and distributing the monthly e-bulletin, ensuring it communicates key updates, achievements, and sector updates.
- Write and distribute press releases about the Trust’s events or projects, following up with journalists as needed.
- Plan communications around National events such as Anti-Bullying Week, Hate Crime Awareness Week and Holocaust Memorial Day.
- Source and use images, audio, video, personal testimonies and other relevant content to communicate the Trust’s messages.
- Help plan and run communications aspects of events, e.g., liaising with photographers or live-posting on social media.
- Commission and work with graphic designers, web developers and printers within budgets and timelines.
- Digital platforms: Manage the Trust’s website content and act as the shop window for the charity’s work.
- Operate and grow the Trust’s social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and exploring TikTok), ensuring content is dynamic and engages supporters and allies.
- Collaborate with the Education Team to promote online learning events via social media and email to key stakeholders.
- Brand and strategy alignment: Ensure content aligns with the Trust’s strategy, branding, styles, values, and policies.
- Tailor communications for different audiences (schools, pupils, donors, general public).
- Encourage staff to be consistent and effective in external communications, e.g., through a style guide.
General Responsibilities
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and targets.
- Ensure all work reflects the Trust’s values, quality standards, and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Apply safeguarding practices in all communications and external engagements.
- Contribute to meetings, training, and professional development; work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Carry out other duties to support the Trust’s functions and activities.
Experience
- Undergraduate level education or equivalent experience.
- Experience working effectively as part of a team, and independently with initiative.
- Experience creating content for social media.
- Experience in an office-based and/or remote team.
- Experience supporting events or communications projects.
- Experience in a charity, educational, or community setting.
Knowledge
- Confident user of Microsoft 365 and Canva.
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn; awareness of TikTok.
- Sensitivity to communicating Jewish identity in a modern and inclusive context, and understanding of anti-prejudice education and communications.
- Understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Monday) and website management, including updating content.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication, with attention to detail and storytelling ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to engage with external stakeholders sensitively.
- Good organisational skills: managing deadlines, prioritising tasks, and responding to requests timely.
