Job Title: Logistics Analyst

Salary: £35K per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday

Location: Bar Hill

What to Expect

Office-based role with occasional after-hours coordination across global time zones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inbound/outbound flow of materials and finished goods; schedule daily/weekly customer shipments aligned to production plans.
  • Track WIP and inter-site transfers; ensure proof of delivery.
  • Support packing and labelling activities.
  • Plan domestic and international shipments per customer terms (e.g., Ex-Works, FOB).
  • Prepare documentation: commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin.
  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, and customs brokers for on-time, cost‑efficient delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to global trade and export control regulations (EORI, EAR, ITAR, HTS).
  • Maintain accurate logistics records and support audits.
  • Follow EHS guidelines for handling hazardous/cleanroom materials.
  • Collaborate with production planning, procurement, engineering, quality, and customer service.
  • Communicate shipment status, risks, and recovery actions.
  • Support sample shipments, returns, FAI items, engineering samples, and tooling transfers.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce lead times and freight costs and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Support logistics automation, tracking tools, and ERP enhancements (SAP, Oracle).
  • Track and report KPIs such as on‑time delivery, freight cost, and carrier performance.
Skills & Experience
Required
  • 25 years in logistics or supply chain, ideally in high‑tech or engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of global shipping, customs, and export controls.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills; comfortable with fast‑paced, high‑mix/low‑volume operations.
  • ERP proficiency (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with lean, Six Sigma, or supply chain optimisation methods.
