Overview

Role: Commissioning Engineer

Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 + 10% - 15% Bonus + Company Car/Van + Expenses

Location: Home Based / Remote

Ref: 23222

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for timely installation, and servicing of the company\'s equipment
  • Supervise installation contractors during equipment installation
  • Complete Field Service and Installation / Maintenance Reports
  • Report defects and site modification to Engineering team to ensure accurate records and drawings are maintained in line with the company\'s quality system
  • Liaise with customers to gather relevant information and keep them informed of work progress
  • Where required, solve practical problems: detect and repair system faults
  • Identify areas of improvement on equipment and liaise with Engineering / Manufacturing teams
  • Take equipment through to site acceptance tests
  • Travel around the UK; expect to be away from home Monday-Friday if the site is not within travelling distance of home
  • Potential for European / International travel for a smaller number of installations per year
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Electrically biased or Multi-Skilled
  • Electrical and /or Mechanical qualification C&G or equivalent
  • Understand electrical schematics
  • Understand mechanical drawings
  • Fault finding and regular maintenance functions of mechanical assemblies, drives, pumps etc
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, water, hydraulic & electrical systems and their functions
  • Working knowledge of temperature control instrumentation, inverters, PLCs and HMIs
  • Experience with fault finding PLC programs
  • Role suitable for a Commissioning Engineer / Service Engineer / Maintenance Engineer from an Electro/Mechanical background wanting to enter the Commissioning / Installation field
