  • Relevant degree or professional qualification preferred.

Commercial Manager

Where will you be working?

As a Commercial Manager, you'll join a business with over 100 years of industry experience. We deliver multidisciplinary design and build services across:

Water > Power & Energy > Pharmaceutical > Nuclear >Food & Beverage

We provide value-added engineering solutions that safeguard infrastructure, extend asset life, and ensure compliance with the highest quality and environmental standards.

The Role

The Commercial Manager will lead all work-winning and pre-contract activities. You\'ll own commercial reviews, bid strategies and risk management, ensuring sustainable growth and successful project delivery.

What you\'ll be doing
  • Lead and coordinate commercial/legal reviews (NEC3 & 4, JCT, FIDIC, Bespoke).
  • Prepare cashflow forecasts and fee/cost mark-ups.
  • Develop route-to-margin strategies and risk registers.
  • Support bids from £1m to £230m.
  • Handover won projects to commercial leads.
  • Work with estimating, operational, work-winning and SHEQ teams.
  • Track win/loss ratios and collate lessons learned.
  • Manage governance and compliance for bidding activity.
  • Report and present bidding strategies to leadership.
  • Support live projects during quieter bidding periods.
  • Provide commercial expertise across MEICA projects in pharmaceutical, nuclear, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
What you\'ll bring
  • Strong background in contract review, negotiation and strategy.
  • Experience with NEC, JCT, FIDIC and bespoke contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to build strong relationships.
  • Customer-focused, positive attitude.
  • Solid IT skills for smooth daily working.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (Chartered status preferred).
  • Nuclear industry experience is an advantage.
