Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support their client on an initial 6-month contract. This full-time position involves safeguarding commercial interests, leading client relationships, and managing the transition from tender to live operations. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of contract forms and experience in client management. The position is home-based with occasional travel to sites. Competitive salary and potential for contract extension are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard the commercial interests of the delivery team.
  • Lead and manage relationships with Total Waste Management clients.
  • Mentor and support staff within the commercial team.
  • Review tender documents, identifying risks and accountabilities.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies pre- and post-tender.
  • Lead the transition from tender award to live operations.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks across contracts.
  • Advise on contract conditions, variations, and commercial issues.
  • Negotiate contract agreements and manage contractual obligations.

Skills

Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, FIDIC or similar contract forms
Ability to draft, amend, and negotiate contract clauses
Proven experience in client management and stakeholder engagement

Overview

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to support our client on an initial 6-month contract, with a view to extension. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Location - Home based with occasional travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard the commercial interests of the delivery team at all times
  • Lead and manage relationships with Total Waste Management (TWM) clients
  • Mentor and support staff within the commercial team
  • Review tender documents, identifying risks and accountabilities
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies pre- and post-tender
  • Lead the transition from tender award to live operations
  • Identify and manage commercial risks across new and existing contracts
  • Advise on contract conditions, variations, and associated commercial issues
  • Negotiate contract agreements and manage complex contractual obligations
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, FIDIC or similar contract forms
  • Ability to draft, amend, and negotiate contract clauses
  • Proven experience in client management and stakeholder engagement
