Role Overview

Ethical Power (GTDS) is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our growing team. As the UK's only vertically integrated renewables company, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence and are looking for a leader to ensure our commercial success. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial management, from contract negotiation and risk assessment to financial reporting and team leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Commercial Leadership: Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and lead commercial activities, ensuring all projects align with our business goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Maintain the business cashflow forecast, contribute to new business bids, and review and develop commercial processes.
  • Contract Management: Lead negotiations for main and subcontracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions with our supply chain.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee project finances, including cashflow, PO approvals, and variations, while providing detailed reports to the senior management team.
Qualifications
  • A strong understanding of business finances, including P&L and Balance Sheets, with expertise in budget and cashflow management.
  • Exceptional communication and management skills with a professional demeanor. You should be highly organized, self-motivated, and adept at problem-solving.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is desirable.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Manager for grid connections or a proven track record of working with clients and key stakeholders on major projects.
