Our work is, therefore, exciting, varied and challenging.

We have a friendly and dedicated team at the heart of our business and we work together to ensure not only that we carry out our work to the highest standard, but that we enjoy ourselves in the process. Our people are our biggest asset.

We are looking for a fastidiously organised Commercial Manager to oversee procurement, commercial administration and client relations.

This role is essential in ensuring efficient delivery of goods and services, maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the commercial side of the business. The candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager with the ability to deputise for that role when required, and over time be in a strong position to take on more responsibility in the finance department

The successful candidate will have personal qualities consistent with the company’s core values of Excellence, Elegance and Extraordinary Care and will be able to demonstrate their enthusiasm for providing exceptional service to our clients, through a meticulousness that is part of their personality. We are looking for a detail-oriented and pro active candidate with a finance background who will enjoy keeping things running behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Procurement management - ensuring that products arrive according to an agreed schedule for each project;

  • Project tracking and reporting - keeping project managers informed as to the procurement status of each project and highlighting procurement issues as they arise;

  • Handling product returns quickly and efficiently;

  • Tracking project progress and preparing for invoicing;

  • Subscriptions management for clients;

  • Administration of our Performance Plans, ensuring that usage is correctly logged and entitlements, such as Maintenance Visits, are scheduled appropriately;

  • Client relations, building and maintaining good relationships with our clients and delivering excellent customer service;

  • Assistance and deputisation for the Finance Manager, including regular sales and purchasing data entry;

  • Oversee business rates and insurance administration;

  • Asset management;

  • Answering the telephone as part of the team in the office on any particular day.

Key Attributes:-

  • The ability to keep calm in a crisis and get to the root of a problem without being fazed by external pressure;

  • A confident and effective communicator;

  • A good listener, able to empathise and to work with people from all walks of life;

  • Personable, with a friendly, enthusiastic and positive outlook;

  • An interest in music.

Key Skills:-

  • Highly skilled with common computer software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets;

  • High level of numeracy and literacy;

  • The ability to design, implement and adhere to systems and processes;

  • An aptitude and enthusiasm for technology (NOT a technophobe!);

  • Some understanding of company finances and bookkeeping, though training will be provided as necessary;

  • Excellent organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail, but able to adapt to commercial reality.

Work Schedule:-

This is a part-time position, requiring 25 hours per week. An example work schedule would be 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday. While primarily an office-based role, occasional remote work is possible.

Starting Salary:-

Your starting salary will be between £25k and £32k pro rata.
