Overview

Print Tech Solutions are specialists in the formulation and supply of premium cleaning solutions for the flexographic printing industry, with a key customer base located across the UK and Ireland. Established over 20 years, our extensive cleaning solution range supports the crucial care and maintenance for the flexographic print sectors, which includes corrugated board, flexible packaging and the narrow web / label sectors. Our specially formulated cleaning solutions are developed to help our customers to deliver consistent high-quality print. Owned by The Ethikos Group, we are looking at continuing to support our customers, whilst growing our market share, which will be supported by the development of our cleaning solutions to meet the changing demands and needs of this sector. In this Commercial Management role, you will join the team in delivering a premium service to the flexographic industry.

Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing key account customers within the flexographic print sector. Understand their business needs now and in the future to continue to provide tailored solutions.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new customer opportunities within the flexographic printing industry. Develop and execute strategies to acquire new business and achieve sales targets.
  • Technical Understanding: Leverage your print background to understand the technical aspects of flexographic printing processes and how our cleaning solutions provide value to customers productivity.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within customer organisations.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Manage pricing negotiations, prepare and present commercial proposals, and close sales effectively.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and present persuasive presentations to demonstrate Print Tech Solutions proposition of products and added-value services.
  • Financial Acumen: Understand and manage key financial metrics such as gross profit margins, sales figures, and revenue targets.
  • Territory Management: Effectively manage your own calendar, plan and execute customer visits, and optimise travel efficiency.
  • Reporting & Administration: Create comprehensive visit reports, maintain accurate sales records (using CRM system), and contribute to sales forecasting activities.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the flexographic print market.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal account teams, technical support operatives and marketing team, to ensure continued customer satisfaction, maintain our brand awareness and drive product innovation.
  • Business Development: Support, develop and execute a business plan to meet sales targets and present sales figures against target to board.
  • NB: Customer site visits will be across the UK and Ireland.
Hours & Travel

Monday to Friday – official hours 9am – 5pm, but these will be as required to meet the demands of the role in visiting customers across the UK and Ireland. We anticipate that you will spend one to two days (probably Monday) per month working from the office in Manchester, to update with the team and review customer accounts and any current issues and actions. The rest of the working weeks will be spent visiting customers, prospecting across the UK, and occasionally Ireland, with flexibility required around your working hours to suit the needs of our customers. Travelling extensively and overnight stays away from home are part of the role. Time will also be dedicated to site visit reports, reviewing markets, sales figures and necessary communications with the customer. Good communication to be maintained with the team at all times.

Skills & Experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proven track record in a commercial role, ideally within the flexographic print or similar related sector.
  • Print industry and printing knowledge
  • Demonstrable experience in managing key accounts and building strong customer relationships and having face-to-face and Teams meetings.
  • Successful history of identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • The ability to network and work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers at all levels in an organisation
  • Negotiation skills and understanding.
  • Flexible and professional approach to responsibilities and hours worked
