Job description

We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Severn Trent Framework based in Coventry. Location: Coventry or Birmingham, Some working from home available. Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Commercial Manager, you will drive forward the commercial and financial management of construction projects across the Severn Trent programme. You'll be trusted to work proactively, reporting into senior leaders on portfolio performance, advising project teams, and helping to drive strategic plans.

Day to day responsibilities
  • Leading the commercial management of projects, ensuring financial performance, value delivery and compliance with business targets.
  • Heading subcontractor procurement and contract administration, from tender evaluation through to ongoing commercial oversight and performance management.
  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies that maximise profitability and proactively mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
  • Overseeing contract management and negotiations, including NEC and other standard forms of contract, ensuring clear obligations and protections are in place.
  • Managing all finances, including budgets, cost forecasting, cashflow and commercial reporting to support informed decision making.
What are we looking for?
