Are you looking to a join a blue-chip organisation that will provide all the necessary tools and training to progress further in the ranks?

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager that has experience in managing large projects and dealing with multiple clients, forms of contract and business development.

As a Commercial Manager, you will be focused on delivery and be responsible for all commercial & contractual activity within the area.

Responsibilities for the project manager within Technical Services:

  • These include assisting the Head of Commercial in developing commercial management processes and control measures which are designed to minimise risk and maximise operational performance
  • Preparing contract schedules of deliverables, obligations calendars, commercial briefing, and training sessions to improve commercial expertise and raise awareness in operations across several contracts
  • Commercially managing transformation modelling and pricing governance for new business opportunities, with particular focus on pricing rules and principles in accordance with the relevant contract or schedule through ownership of business case submissions
  • Reporting and providing accurate and timely commercial information as required by the Head of Commercial
  • Providing support to the operation's team for more complex negotiations, mitigating penalty deductions and dispute/claim resolutions

Criteria for the Commercial Manager within Technical Services:

  • Holds the relevant qualifications (i.e., Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, ideally RICS qualified)
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with multiple clients, forms of contract and business development
  • Experience in a commercial management role
  • Excellent commercial awareness and knowledge of commercial compliance
  • Contract drafting and negotiation experience
  • Possess strong commercial negotiation skills and experience of managing and leading a team to achieve multiple objectives
  • Effective teamwork and leadership skills
  • Excellent Influencing, Presentation and Negotiation skills (client facing experience is a must)
