Qualifications

Job Role: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: HMP Littlehey - Littlehey, Prison Crow, Spinney Lane, West Perry, PE28 0SR

Salary: £41,818.21

Contract: Full-time/Permanent

Are you a qualified plumber with gas and high-temperature hot water certifications? Are you looking for a challenging role where your skills will be utilized in innovative ways? Join our team at HMP Littlehey, a Category C & Male prison, and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside experienced colleagues including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and others.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the facility, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
• Maintain and repair heating, combustion, and related systems.

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience as a heating or combustion engineer or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements.
• Familiarity with Gas Safe regulations 1998 and industry standards.
• Qualifications: C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Certificates: CCN1, COCN1, and good health & safety knowledge.
