Job summary

A large FM and maintenance company is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer for a static role covering commercial sites in and around Fareham and Southampton. The ideal candidate should have relevant commercial gas qualifications and experience in gas maintenance. This position offers overtime, a mobile role with a van, and a comprehensive benefits package including generous annual leave and pension scheme.

Overview

Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Fareham / Southampton

Salary: 50k per annum

We are a large FM and maintenance company seeking an experienced and qualified commercial gas engineer. This is a static-based role covering commercial sites in and around Fareham and Southampton. The ideal candidate has experience working in commercial environments carrying out all areas of commercial gas maintenance and minor remedial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to commercial/industrial boilers.
• Complete inspection and gas safety check certificates.
• Ensure PPM is carried out in line with task schedules, frequencies and industry best practices.
• Identify defects, provide parts list and estimated timescales to complete repairs.
• Ensure boilers are transported and handled in accordance with current Health & Safety Regulations.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Carry out installation, repairs, maintenance and plan operational duties, reporting as requested.
• Work with appliances such as small scale plant rooms, centralized heating boilers, gas heaters, etc.
• Visit customer premises (commercial) to fit, service and repair boilers and centralized heating systems that have broken down.
• Assess, dismantle, repair or replace relevant parts.
• Support the field service team and maintain internal operational processes.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

• Commercial Tickets – need either cocn1 or Codnco1
• Commercial Catering Tickets – Highly Desirable
• Domestic Gas Qualifications – Desirable
• Experience working within commercial environments
• Driving licence
• Ipaf & PASMA
• OFTEC – desirable
• Multi-skilled experience within minor electrical / fabric tasks
