Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, fault diagnostics, and repairs on commercial boilers.
  • Carry out PPM activities and respond to reactive works per service agreements.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of boiler plant and associated controls.
  • Ensure work aligns with Gas Safety Regulations and health & safety policies.
  • Complete accurate service documentation and maintain detailed records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams for service delivery.

CLIENT

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Gas Heating Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our client's successful and well-established Building Services division in Belfast. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical maintenance solutions across commercial, industrial, healthcare and education facilities throughout Northern Ireland. With a focus on reliability, safety, and technical performance, they continue to be a leading name in the building services sector.

The Ideal Person

You will be a qualified Commercial Gas Engineer with up-to-date Gas Safe certification (COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A). You'll have practical experience in servicing, repairing and maintaining commercial boiler and heating systems across a wide range of customer sites.

You should also demonstrate:

  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Previous exposure to commercial plant rooms and mechanical building services environments
  • A strong commitment to safety compliance and delivering a high standard of work
  • Confidence to work independently while contributing effectively within a team of skilled engineers
  • Background in Facilities Management or Building Services (highly advantageous)
Responsibilities
  • Performing routine servicing, maintenance, fault diagnostics, and repairs on commercial boilers, burners, and associated heating equipment
  • Carrying out PPM activities and responding to reactive works in line with service agreements
  • Assisting with installation and commissioning of boiler plant, pumping systems, pipework and associated controls
  • Ensuring all work aligns with Gas Safety Regulations and internal health & safety policies
  • Completing accurate service documentation and maintaining detailed records for each site
  • Communicating effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Remuneration

£18 per hour + on-call/call-out allowance
