Job summary

A reputable property management firm in Hempstalls is seeking a Commercial/Financial Accountant to lead and manage financial operations. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and bring experience from property maintenance or facilities management. You will drive accurate management accounts, support key decisions, and oversee daily financial tasks. This role offers a salary of £55k-£60k, a collaborative environment, and benefits, including a pension and holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays.

Commercial/Financial Accountant

Our client an expanding thriving property design, refurbishment and maintenance business who are looking for a proactive, disciplined, motivated and results orientated candidate to take the lead for this Commercial Finance Accountant role working closely with the wider management team and operational staff. You ideally will have worked in Property maintenance, Building Management or Facilities management. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate management accounts, supporting key business decisions, and driving continuous improvement across processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Management team and Operations team to manage the Commercials of the work from costing of the work through to completion.
  • Close liaison with external clients and all department internally
  • Tracking, reporting and management of all costings
  • Sales and overhead forecasting
  • Day to day running the company finances - day to day accounts
  • Payment processing
  • Credit management, invoicing, cash collection
  • Balancing, management of banking
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly/annual accounts
  • VAT Returns
  • Budget management
What they are looking for
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified (or equivalent).
  • Systems used Zero, BigChange, AI
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking and challenge
  • Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills.
  • A cooperative relationship builder who challenges the status quo and drives improvement.
  • Energetic, positive, and able to meet deadlines.
  • This role is working from the office location daily
What the Company offer - to include

Salary - c£55 - 60 k (negotiable on experience/background)

Working Hours Monday - Friday 40 hours per week

Holiday allowance 25 days plus bank holiday
