Overview

Commercial Executive — Location: Verwood; Salary: £30,000 per annum; Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00–17:00.

Our client is looking for a driven and customer-focused Commercial Executive to join our growing sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for sales and relationship building, who is looking for a long-term career in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to inbound sales calls, emails, and website enquiries, converting them into opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and approach potential customers through outbound calls, emails, and networking.
  • Develop and deliver a structured outreach plan to create a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
  • Research, qualify, and target new prospects to expand the customer base.
  • Track and analyse outreach and conversion metrics to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing customers, spotting opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
  • Provide tailored advice and solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Follow up on leads to maximise sales potential.
  • Collaborate with management teams regularly to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge, pricing, and industry trends.
  • Ensure all leads and RFQs are answered promptly and professionally.
  • Be available for occasional travel to meet and visit customers.
What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sales, ideally managing both inbound and outbound activity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Experience in brokering and upselling products or services.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Results-oriented and motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn in-house software.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to develop and grow.
