Job Role : Commercial Engineer

For candidates based not within commutable distance, this role can be remote or hybrid, with a expectation of visiting site once every 2 weeks.

We are currently recruiting for Commercial Engineer for a client specialising in the AS9100-accredited precision engineering services. You will be responsible for estimating customer quotations using best practice methodology.

We are looking for a candidate experienced in quotations within a precision engineering environment. You will be providing quotes for CNC machined parts directly with the customers, so understanding of cost relating to work and materials within this setting is necessary.

Key Responsibilities of a Commercial Engineer :
  • To estimate customer quotations using best practice methodology.
  • To manage estimating activities between the estimating team.
  • To provide commercial support in relation to engineering Cost Of Sales.
  • To review lessons learned from COS data and implement ideas for suture cost savings.
  • Help to drive continuous improvement programs within the department.
  • To closely support the engineering team to meet customer demand.
