PURPOSE

The Hundred is a sporting event like no other. World class entertainment, the world’s best players and the women’s and men’s games on equal footing. It is the highest profile sports event to launch in the UK for many years and r has taken a leap forward in the past 12 months. It now boasts a hugely impressive roster of new investment partners who share our passion and vision for growth.

Achieving these ambitions requires clear and focused audience, brand and commercial strategy, which the Commercial Director will help to shape and deliver.

This role is accountable to the MD, The Hundred for growing the audiences and revenues of The Hundred. The Growth Director is a key member of The Hundred Leadership Team and will work within the wider ECB structures, including working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer.The successful candidate will be accountable for all sales, digital and marketing activity of The Hundred central, as well as new business development activity.

YOU’LL BE DOING

As The Hundred continues to grow, the role will evolve, offering the chance to shape new opportunities and make a lasting impact.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Develop the short- and long-term brand, marketing and audience strategy, working with ECB Marketing team.
  • Develop new commercial opportunities to grow revenue and help to build the long-term brand and value of The Hundred.
  • Collaborate with broadcasters and ECB CRO to maximise growth and value creation through storytelling, events and alignment of event delivery and marketing plans.
  • Ensure partners see clear impact, from activations and ROI to renewal, in collaboration with the ECB Commercial team.
  • Develop a shared data and insight framework with teams, enabling everyone to understand and grow their fans, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Develop the data and digital products strategy for The Hundred, including the ticketing platform.
  • Help teams turn The Hundred’s growth strategy into local execution, through establishing and leading the Commercial and Marketing Delivery Groups.
  • Collaborate with Commercial team to define and deliver the new revenue and commercial partnership strategy.

  • A successful and consistent track record of audience growth and commercial impact
  • Outstanding strategic vision with a sound knowledge and understanding of the promotion of sport at both international and domestic levels.
  • Excellent ability to manage processes and people, including engagement with a complex, matrixed stakeholder environment.
