We are excited to be the retained search partner for a business that has along standing reputation of excellence in the forklift truck industry. One of the UK’s market leaders in providing forklift trucks for both rental and sale.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy across sales, rentals, service, and aftersales.
- Lead and manage the sales teams to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand the customer base.
- Oversee pricing, contract negotiation, and customer relationship management.
- Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure commercial goals align with business capabilities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Report on commercial performance and contribute to SLT discussions and planning.
Key Skills & Experience
- We are looking for an experienced, commercially astute individual with proven experience in a senior commercial role within the forklift truck industry.
- Strong understanding of both sales and rental business models.
- Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded with a track record of delivering revenue growth and profitability.
- Comfortable working in a fast and high growth business environment with a hands-on approach.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
- Skilled in negotiating high value deals and managing contracts
- Excellent knowledge of pricing and margin optimisation and can be creative with solutions
- Ability to inspire, coach and hold teams accountable
- Operates focused on customer satisfaction
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
