Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and ICT at grade 4/C or above.
  • Further study (A-Level, BTEC, or equivalent) in a business-related subject preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and IT skills, confidence using Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-focused approach to work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for contracts, tenders, and supplier documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation of pricing, quotations, and financial tracking spreadsheets.
  • Help maintain accurate project records, reports, and correspondence.
  • Support supplier engagement and procurement activities.
  • Conduct market research and help prepare presentations.

At NP Aerospace, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Apprentice to develop essential business administration and commercial skills in a fast‑paced, global defence organisation.

You’ll gain first‑hand experience supporting contracts, procurement, and customer relationships — learning how large‑scale defence programmes are managed from proposal through to delivery. This is the ideal role for someone with a keen interest in business operations, administration, and commercial management who’s ready to learn and grow within a supportive environment.

Successful apprentices will have the opportunity to progress into permanent positions within NP Aerospace once the apprenticeship is complete.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for contracts, tenders, and supplier documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation of pricing, quotations, and financial tracking spreadsheets.
  • Help maintain accurate project records, reports, and correspondence.
  • Support supplier engagement and procurement activities, including order processing.
  • Conduct market research and help prepare presentations and commercial summaries.
  • Liaise with internal teams across Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Sales.
  • Learn how to support compliance, export controls, and documentation for defence projects.
What you’ll bring
