Are you an analytical thinker with a background in Commercial Finance? We have a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Accountant to join our team playing a key role in delivering accurate, insightful financial information that drives business performance. This role is based in central Eastbourne at our Head Office, Albany House. As a Commercial Accountant with the Brewers Group, you'll be providing essential support to the Commercial Finance team in strengthening the credibility of the function by preparing, analysing and forecasting key commercial accounting information. Your work will cover areas such as accounting for our National Distribution Centre, Sales to Net Margin analysis and Customer/Supplier Rebates. Responsibilities
  • Assisting in preparing Branch and Web management accounts
  • Supporting the accounting for our National Distribution Centre, including internal allocations
  • Preparing and reconciling Customer and Supplier Rebates calculations and journals
  • Analysing key financial information to answer queries and support decision making
  • Maintaining rebate systems and workflows
  • Supporting with and contributing to the year‑end reconciliation processes
Qualifications
  • You will be a newly qualified or part‑qualified accountant (preferable CIMA or equivalent)
  • A strong background and experience in commercial analysis, delivering high‑quality management data with an understanding of the key drivers of sales and margin
  • You will be conversant with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Proficiency in Excel to an advanced level (including Power Query, pivot tables and advanced modelling)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex data to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to use initiative to find solutions
