We're looking for an experienced Combat Systems Engineer to join our Engineering Design Group. You'll provide leadership and expertise across a range of naval and maritime projects, helping to design, integrate, and assess complex systems. You will provide technical direction and assurance to multi‑disciplinary project teams, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and partners to deliver high‑quality engineering outcomes. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects across the maritime domain, while also contributing to the development of emerging technologies and sustainable engineering solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage technical teams, projects, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Define, oversee, and assure scopes of work, proposals, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical leadership for system studies, design activities, and integration assessments.
  • Support research, innovation, and technology development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to group capability development.
  • Manage risks, costs, schedules, and quality across assigned projects.
Qualifications
  • Degree‑qualified engineer (Chartered or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant experience in maritime or systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
  • Experience with maritime platform systems, communications, information systems, navigation, or information assurance is advantageous.
  • Strong methodological, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Must be able to undergo pre‑employment screening and satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
