Job description
Collections Officer Drug and Alcohol Toxicology Testing – Bristol – Must Drive

Peopleforce Recruitment are delighted to be supporting the expansion of one of their longstanding pharmaceutical / healthcare partners in search for a Toxicology Testing officer. This is a part‑time opportunity which requires a lot of flexibility as shifts run for 12/24‑hour periods. You will be going out to visit the company's clients and perform drug & alcohol tests on employees to ensure they are being safe and responsible at work. These can be in environments where safety is critical including factories, airports, manufacturing facilities and more. No two days are the same – it is a very exciting and dynamic role. The minimum you would be required to do is 1 day per week and 1 weekend in a month, however there is more work if you want it! This is still not to say this will ever be a full‑time position – which we want to make clear.

Additionally, during days where you are on standby, you may get pre‑booked visits as well as call‑out visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct drug and alcohol sample collections in accordance with industry standards and company protocols.
  • Ensure proper identification, labelling, and handling of samples to maintain chain‑of‑custody integrity.
  • Adhere strictly to confidentiality and privacy policies while interacting with clients and test subjects.
  • Travel to client sites or testing locations as needed (travel expenses covered, if applicable).
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of sample collection and testing activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Have strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and respect in all interactions.
  • Are comfortable working independently and managing schedules effectively.
  • Hold a valid driver's license, personal vehicle and are willing to travel.
  • [Preferred] Have previous experience in sample collection, healthcare, or a related field.
