Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to two crew members and motivate your own team while working closely with other team leaders and crews to ensure efficient service completion.
• Manage day‑to‑day collection rounds and maintain team health and safety, providing feedback on collections and any issues encountered.
• Use the in‑cab device, assist with bin loading, and ensure safe systems of work and incident‑reporting procedures are always followed.
• Deliver excellent customer service, dealing with residents politely and professionally and explaining services confidently.
• Work weekends and bank holidays as required, starting early and finishing early (usually 2 pm) to support work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• Current valid HGV Class 2/LGV C and a current CPC card.
• Experience of stop‑start HGV driving and manoeuvring in residential areas.
• Previous work on collection services and familiarity with in‑cab technology such as Bartec Collective.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety in the waste collection industry.
