Job Title

Cobol (TAL/TACL) Developer – Remote, 12-Month Contract

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Cobol Developers with expertise in TAL/TACL programming on HPE NonStop systems. You will be working on a payment authorization system to support development activities within the issuer payment processing domain.

This is a remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Cobol-based applications in a TAL/TACL (HPE NonStop) environment.

• Support enhancements and new functionality for payment authorization systems.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions align with requirements.

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure high availability of applications.

• Document technical designs, processes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Cobol Developer.

• Strong hands-on expertise with TAL/TACL on HPE NonStop (Tandem) platforms.

• Proven experience in issuer payment processing/authorization systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to TSYS or FIS platforms.

• Previous experience in financial services / payment industry projects.
