The Division works across a number of climate change adaptation and environmental issues to protect and improve Scotland’s environment for the resilience and well-being of Scotland’s people and places.
The unit consists of two teams working together: Flood Risk Management Team and the Water Scarcity and Coastal Erosion Team (this post). This post provides the opportunity to take forward work with major policy implications for Scotland in the face of the impacts of climate change.
The majority of this post is a policy role working closely with the Coastal Adaptation Senior Policy Manager and the wider team, national bodies, academics and Local Authorities to progress work on coastal erosion and coastal change adaptation that has the potential to make a real difference for coastal communities in Scotland.
This position will also act as Business Continuity Liasion Officer (BCLO) for Environmental Quality & Resilience Division. Each unit in the division will have their own purchaser and approver but as BCLO you will support them and division wide work. This will include working directly with the deputy director and supporting division finance.
