Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment consultancy is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering team in Smethwick. The ideal candidate will operate Mazak and Citizen CNC machines, interpreting engineering drawings and maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong knowledge of Mazatrol software and the ability to work on rotating shifts. Competitive hourly rate of £20.25 is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
• Strong working knowledge of Mazatrol software.
• Ability to work independently across both shift patterns.

• Produce high-quality components to tight tolerances.

SMETHWICK

Hourly Rate: £20.25 (inc shift allowance)

Hours: Rotating 2-week shift pattern

Week 1: Mon-Thu 6am-2pm | Fri 6am-1pm

Week 2: Mon-Thu 2pm-10pm | Fri 1pm-8pm

About the Role

Due to expansion an Engineering company is expanding its precision engineering team and is looking for a skilled CNC Turner to join our high-performance manufacturing facility. If you're experienced with Mazak and Citizen CNC machines and confident working with Mazatrol software, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate Mazak and Citizen CNC turning machines
• Produce high-quality components to tight tolerances
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and quality checks
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment
• Work collaboratively within a small, skilled team

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner
• Strong working knowledge of Mazatrol software
• Experience with Mazak and Citizen CNC machinery
• Ability to work independently across both shift patterns
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
