Overview

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established precision engineering business in their search for a CNC Turner to work in Aintree.

Job Role

The CNC Turner will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls to produce small batches and one-off components. Working from detailed engineering drawings, the role involves creating programs, selecting tooling, and machining various grades of steel and alloy steels. This is a permanent role offering regular overtime and opportunities for additional training.

Job Details (Aintree)

• Hours of Work: Mon - Thurs 7.30am - 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm


• Duration: Permanent


• Benefits: 25 days holiday plus overtime, plenty of overtime available, further training courses available


• Batch manufacturing experience


• ISO 9001:2015 quality system experience


• Working from detailed engineering drawings

Desired Skills & Experience

• ISO 9001:2015 quality system experience


• Experience with one CNC programming software


• C & Y axis machining experience

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering-related qualification

Job Role

The CNC Turner will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning centres, including XYZ and Hurco lathes. The role includes reading and interpreting engineering drawings to manufacture bespoke components and small batch orders, changing tools as required, and ensuring all work meets tight tolerances.

Job Details

• Pay: Basic salary of up to £36,075 per annum


• Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am till 4:30pm, 2:30pm finish on Friday


• Duration: Permanent
