Job Title: CNC Team Leader - Aerospace

Location: Cheltenham

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per year

Hours: Monday-Thursday (07:30-16:00), Friday (07:30-12:30)

The Role

As CNC Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of the machine shop—overseeing daily workflow, mentoring machinists, and helping to drive continuous improvement across the department. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, supporting, and developing a team of CNC machinists
• Overseeing 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC Milling & Turning operations
• Setting, operating, and troubleshooting Fanuc & Heidenhain‑controlled machines
• Driving process improvements and contributing to lean manufacturing initiatives
• Ensuring all work meets strict aerospace quality and health & safety standards
• Working cross‑functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to maintain smooth operations

About You

We're looking for someone who brings both strong technical ability and confident leadership. You will have:

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC Milling & Turning machinery
• Working knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls (Bridgeport & Haas experience an advantage)
• Strong organisational and people‑management skills
• A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to hit deadlines and optimise workflow
• A passion for maintaining high standards in a precision‑engineering environment
