Overview

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Open to negotiation

Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 07.30-16.00, Friday 07.30-12.30, though some flexibility is to be expected.

Our client is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham.

The Role

Due to their current growth, they are now looking to recruit for the position of a CNC Programmer.

The successful applicant will be based at their production facility in Birmingham city centre.

As part of a larger strategy to increase their productivity across the business, they are looking to add a skilled and flexible machinist to their team, whose role will be to support the incumbent CNC team with all aspects of their daily tasks as required, while also supporting their Manufacturing Engineers with lean and 5s projects.

  • Working as a hands-on machinist on either Fanuc or Mazak VMCs
  • Providing absence cover where required
  • Carrying out TPM / PPM activities
  • Programming online at the control
  • Proving Out
  • Working on lean or 5S projects

This role would suit somebody with several years' experience of programming Fanuc VMCs, in a wide range of materials; any turning or Mazatrol knowledge will be a bonus.

Skills and Qualifications

To apply for this roll, you must be a UK national.

Completed apprenticeship to Minimum Level 3.

Extensive experience in setting and running CNC machines.

Ability to read drawings including GD&T symbols.

A flexible and 'can do' attitude.
