Overview

CNC Miller (operator) - Late Shift

Location: Oxfordshire
Industry: Precision Engineering - Motorsport & Automotive
Hourly Rate: £19 - £25 per hour
Hours: 16:00pm - 02:00am, Monday to Thursday

I'm currently working on behalf of a precision engineering client based in Oxfordshire, a business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality machined components to the motorsport and automotive sectors. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they are now looking to add a permanent CNC Operator (milling machines) to their team.

Role Overview

You will be joining a skilled and supportive engineering team, working on Fanuc-controlled CNC Mills to produce complex, small-batch, tight-tolerance components. The company values precision, initiative, and a commitment to quality, and this role is ideal for someone with a passion for high-end manufacturing and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC Mills using Fanuc controls
  • Read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Carry out in-process inspection using standard measuring tools
  • Maintain high levels of quality and consistency across all work
  • Work efficiently to job specifications and deadlines
Requirements
  • Proven experience in CNC Milling within a precision engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of Fanuc controls
  • Background in automotive, motorsport, or aerospace industries preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
Working Hours

16:00 - 02:00, Monday to Thursday

4-day working week with 3-day weekends

Overtime available depending on workload
