Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Operative to join a client based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will supervise CNC machines, ensuring operations are carried out correctly. Desirable experience includes setting up and operating CNC machines, alongside strong mechanical knowledge. Candidates must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work under pressure. This position offers a temp-to-perm opportunity with working hours from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• You will be supervising the machines to ensure that operations are being carried out correctly and to make the necessary adjustments as required.
• Experience in setting up, and operating CNC machines would be desirable.
• Good manual dexterity and eye-to-hand co-ordination, as you will be working with small tolerances and setting tools, with good attention to detail.
• The ability to cope with pressure and work to deadlines, and use initiative to work independently.

Skills

• Proficiency in CNC operation with experience in milling and fabrication processes.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.
• Competence in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.

Working hours Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm (40hrs per week)
