Our client is a specialist in bespoke stonework and finishing working with natural and semi-precious stone to produce exceptional results for high‑end projects across the UK. They are renowned for their precision craftsmanship and commitment to quality.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join our client’s skilled production team in Hornchurch. The successful candidate will operate CNC machinery to cut, shape and finish stone components to exact specifications ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating CNC machinery to process stone, marble and similar materials
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, CAD files and job specifications
• Setting up machines, tools and programmes for each project
• Inspecting finished pieces to ensure accuracy and quality
• Maintaining machines and keeping work areas clean and organised
• Working closely with the production team to meet project deadlines
• Following all health & safety standards and quality procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a stone joinery or similar production environment
• Good understanding of CNC programming and machine setup
• Ability to read technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and pride in precision work
• Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with stone materials (granite, marble, quartz, etc.) preferred
