CNC Miller - Setter/Trainee Programmer

Leeds | £16 per hour (rising to £18.40 on back shift) | Permanent

We're supporting a long-established precision engineering business in Leeds looking for a CNC Miller Setter with Fanuc controls who's ready to develop into a programming role. This is a genuine training and progression opportunity - you'll start on days while learning programming, then move to the back shift once you're at programmer level.

The Role
  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines (Fanuc Controls Essential)
  • Learning CNC programming with structured training and support
  • Producing high‑precision components to tight tolerances
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Performing in‑process inspection to maintain quality standards
  • Working collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area
What We're Looking For
  • Proven CNC milling setting experience
  • Fanuc control experience (essential)
  • Keen to learn and develop programming skills
  • Confidence working from technical drawings
  • Proactive approach to learning and continuous improvementAbility to work independently once trained

The Pathway
