Job Title : CNC Miller

Location : Nasmyth Henton LTD, Harrowbrook House, 31A Faraday Rd, Hinckley LE10 3DE

Job type : Permanent

Salary : £16.77 per hour + shift pay £564.60 per month

Hours per week

Start & finish times : Rotating AM / PM Shift - Monday – Thursday : 06.00 – 13.45 / 13.45 – 01.30

Lunch : 30 min unpaid break

Summary of role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller operates 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components, including setting tools and making necessary program edits. They carry out routine TPM maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently. The role includes raising Product Investigation Reports (PIRs) when issues arise to support quality improvement. Adhering to 5S standards and safely handling components, jigs and fixtures are essential parts of the position. Key Responsibilities
  • Operating 5 Axis CNC Milling machines
  • Setting Tools

  • Updating basic maintenance on machines (TPM)
  • Raising Product Investigation Reports (PIRs), if required
  • Working to 5S standard in the area
  • Safe handling of components, jigs and fixtures
Role Requirements
  • 5 years’ experience in the Aerospace / Automotive Industry in a similar role
  • Apprentice trained – preferred or demonstrated relevant experience
  • Experience of Fanuc / Mazatrol / Heidenhain operating systems
  • Ability to read drawings / specifications
  • Ability to use inspection equipment and inspect your own work
  • Working to production timelines in a manufacturing environment
  • Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation
  • Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook
  • Able to get on with others and be a team-player
  • Attention to detail and accuracy at all times
  • Working to deadlines
  • Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary
